Sunshine Cottage is a beautiful historic Saugatuck home with updates in all the right places.
The front screen porch will welcome you in. Relax on the comfortable sectional and watch the world pass you by. Sip your morning coffee, read the morning paper, or just kick back and let the breeze take your worries away.
The living room features convenient built-ins, cozy furniture, and a flat-screen TV with basic cable and more. For a rainy afternoon indoors or to unwind at the end of the day, you will be more than comfortable in this space.
The eat-in kitchen has been updated to perfection. Marble countertops grace the beautiful, modern cabinets, and large sliding glass doors open to the back deck. This kitchen has everything you would need for either a quick snack or a full meal at home. Clever storage compliments the cozy kitchen - hint: look in the island for more cupboards! Cook meals together in the bright kitchen, then enjoy your meal outdoors on the fairy-tale patio under the lights in the evenings. This cottage has all the amenities to host a dinner with your loved ones.
Play games, or just cozy up and re-connect as a family on the plush, outdoor seating and beautiful garden space with fencing for privacy that makes this spot feel like its own little world.
Two ample bedrooms provide sleeping for 6. The main bedroom has a queen bed and a Smart TV. The second bedroom has a queen bed plus a twin bunk bed and a Smart TV. There is one full bathroom, but it is beautiful and has been updated with you in mind... Plenty of storage, an extra wide sink, and a custom tile walk-in shower.
Situated in the heart of downtown Saugatuck, you will have everything at your fingertips. The river is only 2 blocks away and restaurants and bars start 3 blocks away. Downtown Saugatuck has a local farmer's market, live Broadway-quality theater, an array of casual and fine dining establishments, parks, the waterfront boardwalk, and more. There is something for everyone!
Lake Michigan can be found less than 5 miles away by car (or 1 mile by ferry and foot) at our "famous" Oval Beach.

Please Note:
- This is a small cottage, about 800sqft. There is minimal storage space (closet and dresser) in the bedrooms. In the kitchen, some of the items can be found in the cupboards on the island which are a bit hidden.
- All TVs are Smart. Log in to stream your favorite apps.
- The bunk beds are best suited for children. There is also a sofa sleeper available for alternate sleeping accommodations.

We loved the Sunshine Cottage! Our young family of 4 (3 year old, and 4 month old) stayed here for 4 days and it was perfect for our trip. There isnt a bath tub but both kids enjoyed the shower experience. The house was a perfect size for our 3 year old to run around and we could still keep an eye on him. Especially in the fenced deck and the screened in porch. The road can get a little busy but it was perfect for our 3 year old to watch the cars go by. The location was perfect for walking into downtown without being in the heart of downtown. It was less than a 5 minute walk to get to Water Street, and only a 10 minute drive to Oval Beach. We plan on staying here again for years to come! Such a wonderful, and relaxing trip.

Super clean, super convenient to shops and restaurants but also perfectly situated for those who like to go for a walk and see lots of gardens or birdwatch at the nature preserve. Quick drive to the beach or walk to the chain ferry. Well managed property exactly as described.

This is a clean and bright cottage with a lovely secluded back deck and a comfy screened-in front porch. Loved the updated kitchen and bath and the location was great. We were sad to leave it.

Really cute place in a perfectly walkable location. Super comfortable for two with a great shower. This is more of a personal preference, but the beds and furniture was very soft. Would love to stay here again and the management company was very friendly, responsive, and helpful.

The sunshine cottage was perfect for our weekend girls trip! It is about a 5-10 minute walk from nearby restaurants and downtown Saugatuck. The screened in porch was perfect for relaxing and having drinks before dinner. Only two cars fit in the driveway so if you have more than that you will need to find street parking. We had three cars and had no trouble parking the third car one street over. The check in process was very smooth and communication was wonderful throughout the entire process. The kitchen is well equipped and the cottage appears as shown in pictures.

This house was so cute and had everything we needed. It looked like an HGTV makeover. All the rooms were well appointed, but the kitchen and bathroom were absolutely beautiful. The kitchen had everything any cook would need. I loved the screened-in porch and the location. Well be back.

The layout, decor and amenities are as charming and generous as described. Was part of a party of 4 and it was the ideal size for us to have our alone and social time. The screened-front porch is especially nice when you want fresh air to flow through the space or a nice space for cocktail hour. The house is generously supplied with amenities you dont get at most homes: washer/dryer, coffee/ food essentials in the kitchen and toiletries in the bathroom. These touches made us feel especially treated. Location-wise, its about a 10-minute walk to popular restaurants on Butler and Water Street. Well be back when a group this size is coming up!

Stayed here for a two night stay for a girls weekend! The space was immaculate, beautifully decorated and within walking distance to anything and everything you could ever want downtown. The beds are insanely comfortable and you will sleep so well. We left refreshed and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this beautiful property!
