The property’s rich history is palpable and goes back more than 100 years. Originally built in 1903 by the Chicago Diocese of the Episcopal Church as the summer home of the Girls’ Friendly Society—a haven for young ladies who would arrive at the nearby fruit docks by boat to enjoy crafts, games, and socializing away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The property is home to two unique structures, Pine Lodge and Bluffside, both extensively updated and modernized in 2021 while retaining their historic character. Rent them together for large gatherings or separately for more intimate stays; both enjoy convenient access to 255 feet of pristine fresh-water beach.
