With plenty of space for everyone, the home has been thoughtfully updated while maintaining its timeless charm.
The fully remodeled kitchen provides a bright and welcoming space to gather, whether for a formal meal in the dining room, a quick bite at the snack bar, or a peaceful breakfast on the screened porch overlooking the lake. The soaring ceilings in the living room frame a breathtaking wall of windows, seamlessly blending the warmth of the indoors with the beauty of nature just outside. The main level also features a beautifully designed primary ensuite with a king bed and a walk-in shower, making it ideal for those who prefer to avoid stairs.
Upstairs, four more bedrooms and two additional bathrooms provide comfortable accommodations for your group. A second primary ensuite boasts a king bed, a private balcony with sweeping lake views, and a full bathroom with a shower. Another queen ensuite offers its own private bath with a tub-shower combination, while a third queen bedroom features its own balcony overlooking Lake Michigan. Please Note:
- This home is on a septic system. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Flushing other items, such as feminine products, will result in a sewage backup into the showers. Please only flush toilet paper.
- This home receives water via a well. Due to the high mineral content in our area, this water smells and tastes different than city water. Those who are accustomed to city water may wish to bring bottled water for drinking.
- Please take care when in the yard near the bluff and keep an eye on children and pets. Due to erosion, the bluff is very steep.
- This home is nestled in a beautiful natural setting where wildlife and insects are part of the charm. Routine pest control services are in place to ensure the comfort of our guests, but on occasion, a curious critter may make its way inside, especially if doors are left open. If you notice any evidence of pests indoors, please notify our office promptly so we can address the situation.
- The third-story loft is not included in the rental of this home. For the safety of you and your guests, the plywood stop must remain on the loft ladder at all times. If this space is used, you are doing so at your own risk and an additional fee will be charged.

The house was very fun and unique. There was a nice little hangout space with a nice view but the best part was being able to get to the beach!!! The beach was fabulous! You only share it with about 5 other houses and we were never down there when anyone else was so it felt totally private. There were a lot of stairs but not bad and totally worth it to go down to the beach. If we came back we would definitely try to get this place again.

This was perfect for our extended family stay. The location could not be more perfect. Very close to shopping, restaurants and fun. The lake is private and gorgeous! Hot water never ran out even with multiple people showering. Plenty of amenities.

This cottage is so quaint , lovely , clean and roomy . The area was perfect and close by the family cottage where we gathered for our reunion activities . This cottage was far better than staying at a hotel and set a perfect scene for our family gathering ! I only wish we could have stayed longer ! The story of how the cottage was moved away from the bluff was incredible . If you stay here be sure to visit the farmers market store nearby for yummy breads and pies !

The house was spotless when we arrived. It was the perfect place for our family of nine - 2 grandparents, 4 parents and 3 teenage boys. They have a huge washing machine and dryer - very helpful for a large family. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and so comfortable. Three and a half baths meant nobody had to wait for a shower. The kitchen had all the utensils and pots and pans we needed. There is a private beach with almost no boat traffic - perfect for swimming. There is a large deck overlooking the water, which we used to watch sunsets or do yoga in the morning. There is a also a fire pit a few yards away - perfect for roasting marshmallows! Its only 10-15 minutes to Saugatuck and Douglas. Make sure to read the history of the house. A lot of love went into building it!

Great spot! Hosts were very friendly and the location is nestled right in the middle of all the fun things you might wanna do in Saugatuck. The place itself is gorgeous and has a back deck that gives you a stunning view of the lake. The pictures dont do it enough justice! I highly recommend this place.

Hard to put into words how great of a time my group had. Serene location set in the middle of the woods, the home has a great cabin feel. You can tell the home has had many great moments over the years. Lots of bedrooms, great living spacious living room. A truly memorable time and I hope to come back again some day.

Chapmans Chapter is a GORGEOUS home right on Lake Michigan and close to many beaches, wineries, cideries and downtown Saugatuck. It was perfect for our large group. The kitchen was well-stocked and the home itself easily fit our group of 10 adults, 1 child and 4 babies. We would definitely stay again!

We had the Chapmans Chapter for 2 days over the holiday weekend and it was exactly what we needed! We brought 3 teenage boys and 2 dogs and we were wildly comfortable. The house itself is charming lots of paneling (it almost has a lodge feel) and a wonderful modern kitchen that has all the bells and whistles. The house centers around a great room with windows that are 2 stories high- looking toward the lake which is about 150 yards away. The house is surrounded by woods you can see neighbors houses but it feels like a lakeside aerie. There is a long line and leading to the lakeside cliff that sports a fire pit with attached grill (we roasted brats and smores there one night). There is a also a platform/deck closer to cliff edge that was ideal for sipping vino and watching the spectacular sunset -and, later on, the whirling stars above. It was 10 minute drive to Saugatuck. The cliff stair is washed out (as noted). If remedied, this place would be perfection!

Chapman Chapter was everything we dreamed of and more! The location is fantastic in terms of how close we were to Saugatuck, Douglas, and also South Haven. Cottage is gorgeous - pictures do not do justice. Beautiful main room with lots of natural light, great updated kitchen that had everything we needed, TV and internet worked very well, and we loved our bedrooms with the view of the lake! Watching the sunset from the main room and dining room while you have dinner is priceless! The dcor of the house is beautifully rustic and stylish, along with the memories and items from Chapman familys history, which we loved being part of during our stay. Our children had so much fun playing outside in the wooded area as well the wide area by the bluff with a deck. The steep bluff is safe with wire fence. Mill Pond Realty was brilliant to work with - from our booking and arrival, through our stay - responding to our questions via text in super timely manner. We cant wait to visit again!!!!

A big house with a rustic feel...kitchen and a bathroom remodeled. The main area of the house is open with a relaxing rustic feel. Has all the amenities for hosting a family gathering, most of the time we were in the area, we stayed at the house and enjoyed the property, big kitchen to allow family meals and open areas for gatherings and games. Bedrooms are private and comfortable for those trying to get extra sleep or "little nappers." And the kitchen was nicely stocked with pots, pans and serving dishes. Thanks for the great long weekend and fun memories. This is a beautiful property and area. The house was exactly what we were after, a small family gathering to allow us time in a safe environment, only ventured out for walks and some social distance area sight seeing. The house had all the amenities to allow us the rest, relaxation for great family meals and game time. Hope to be back again, would like to see this area during all 4 Seasons!
